Farmers in southern Japan decided to remodel the watermelon because it was difficult to stack it or store it inside a refrigerator. They introduced the world to square watermelons. The secret is simple: when watermelons are still small, they receive a sort of cube-shaped glass dome. They grow and look the same as the package.
