Correios launch stamp in honor of Brazilian flora

The Correios launched, this week, the special stamp of the Mercosur Series: Fauna and Flora – Succulents. According to the company, the 14th special seal announced highlights the relevance and beauty of these plants, capable of accumulating water in the stem, leaves and even roots.

“Juiciness is a trait highly associated with resilience. That is why it is so present in plants that inhabit arid regions of the globe, since the lack of water is the biggest factor that prevents the survival of a plant”.

Correios points out that, because of this mechanism, it is possible to find succulents inhabiting from the rocks of Rio Grande do Sul to the Amazon Forest.
