It's been a long, long time since this story happened.
Once upon a time, in the forest of the brejinho, a snake had the power to hypnotize other animals and even people, if that was the case.
They say that when she looked at an animal it was like a magnet, he could say goodbye, he couldn't look at anything else, just the snake's eyes. She would bring the animal close to her and “nhoc” would pamper the poor thing.
The snake liked very fresh frogs, once a week it would go to the edge of the swamp, it would stay hidden waiting for the frog to appear to prepare its killing blow. The snake looked at the frog and … it was done! He couldn't look at anything else. All it took was her eyes to meet and the meal was guaranteed. The poor frog was jumping very softly and with his little hand until … “nhoc” was devoured by the snake.
But as “one day is for hunting and another for hunter”, one day the snake was hidden there waiting for its frog to appear. The cane toad appeared, she looked into his eyes and he sang.
– Your tooth doesn't pierce my leather!
The snake wanted to know:
– Doesn't it pierce? Because?
– Because my leather is hard as stone! Because my leather is hard as stone!
- It is not!
– É!
– Then I'll throw you into the fire!
– Fire doesn't burn my choir!
– Why doesn't it burn?
