Planet Earth has been invaded by extraterrestrial beings, the Boov, who are looking for a new planet to call home. They coexist peacefully with humans, who are unaware of their existence. However, one day the young teenager Tip (Rihanna) meets the alien Oh (Jim Parsons), who was banished by the Boov, due to the various messes caused by him. The two soon embark on an adventure, learning a great deal about intergalactic relations.
