NAME:
Blood circulates throughout our body, in this way it passes through various organs. Arteries, veins and capillaries carry blood all this way. The heart is the organ that receives, through the veins, the venous blood (rich in carbon dioxide) and pumps, through the arteries, the arterial blood (rich in oxygen).
Arterial blood is pumped through the heart and carried throughout the body. The blood leaves through the arteries, which are wider paths, and branch out into smaller and smaller paths until it forms capillaries. Afterwards, other capillaries receive the venous blood from the organs and do the opposite, increasing more and more until reaching the veins that carry the blood rich in carbon dioxide to the heart.
This is the blood cycle, a continuous coming and going throughout the body.
