NAME:
A donkey and a fox became very friendly and were constantly in each other's company. While Donkey ate some fresh vegetables, Fox devoured a chicken or a piece of cheese stolen from the neighboring farm.
One day, unexpectedly, they met a Lion. Donkey was very scared, but the fox calmed his fears.
"I'll go talk to him," said the fox.
So the Fox boldly walked up to the Lion.
- Your highness - said the fox, in a low voice, so that the Donkey could not hear him - I have a beautiful scheme in my head. If you promise not to hurt me, I'll take that silly creature to a well, where he can't get out, and you can feast all you want.
The Lion agreed, and the Fox returned to the Donkey.
- I made him promise not to hurt us - said the Fox - But come, I know a good place to hide until he's gone.
So the Fox took the Donkey to a deep well. But when the Lion saw that the Donkey was at his disposal, he first overthrew the treacherous Fox.
