Pedro was a kind and gentle prince, who didn't spend all morning combing his hair like some princes did! One day, a neighboring king invited all the princes to an archery tournament. The winner would win the hand of his daughter, a very beautiful princess. Pedro knew that he could easily win the tournament. He was an excellent archer! There was just one small issue. Peter thought he was ugly. He couldn't bear to face a beautiful princess.
Well, his queen grandmother was a wise old woman, who had a solution to all problems. She told Pedro to win the tournament and present the princess with a red rose. Before giving him the rose, he had to close his eyes and smell its fragrance.
Like the good prince he was, Pedro obeyed his queen grandmother. He won the tournament easily! And when the time came to face the beautiful princess, he first presented her with a red rose, closed his eyes and smelled its fragrance.
The princess was delighted with such chivalry and thought Peter was the most charming prince ever! Prince Pedro opened his eyes, and when he saw her lovely smile, he never felt ugly again!
