Metro City is a glittering metropolis located in the sky. It is there that Dr. Tenma creates Astro Boy, intending to replace the son he lost. Astro Boy possesses extraordinary powers, being endowed with the best of human characteristics. After being expelled, for not being able to fulfill the expectations generated by Tenma, Astro Boy needs to learn to live like a robot and accept the fact that he is not human. He is pursued by President Stone's troops, who want to take the energy source that Astro Boy carries within himself. To escape, he falls to earth. Confused and not understanding the new reality, he decides to pass himself off as a human ________ along with a group of street children.
