The Brave Suiriri is an uncommon migrant in Brazil, where it can be present in autumn and winter. Two other species of the same genus are much more common around here and are also known for their courage against potential predators: the suiriri and the earwig. However, this alleged tyranny is not exclusive to tyrants. When they spot a potential predator, instead of flapping their wings in flight, many species of birds go towards the “enemy” with the aim of scaring it away, even if it is much bigger than them.
