With its 273 meters high, the Cachoeira do Tabuleiro, located in Conceição do Mato Dentro, is the highest in Minas Gerais and the third highest in Brazil. She stands out for falling from a wall of reddish tones, whimsically carved by nature in the shape of a heart, which makes her image unmistakable. And it's no wonder that this marvel lives up to all the titles received so far.
Considered by Guia Quatro Rodas, for two consecutive times, as the most beautiful in Brazil, it was also elected in 2012, with more than 40 thousand votes, one of the “7 Maravilhas da Estrada Real”, in a competition held by the Estrada Real Institute, an agency linked to the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (Fiemg).
The waterfall is located in the Parque Natural Municipal do Tabuleiro, which is very rich in biodiversity with vegetation consisting of gallery forests, cerrado and rocky fields.
In the upper part of the waterfall, before the main fall, the visitor can enjoy other pools and waterfalls, amidst natural gardens with orchids and giant bromeliads.
In the lower part, there is an incredible and inviting well with about 700 m² and 18 meters deep. It is an unmissable tour to see the grandeur of nature up close!
