With planet Earth at risk and to save it from destruction, a retired and out of shape superhero is called upon for a special mission. Jack Shepard (Tim Allen), better known as Captain Zoom, will be the mentor of a new generation of heroes, but for that he has to fight against his own limits.
The veteran is called by General Larraby (Rip Torn) and Dr. Grant (Chevy Chase) to command a group of teenagers. He needs to turn disobedient young people, who can't control their special powers, into real superheroes.
The task promises not to be easy, as the kids get too ready. They have extraordinary abilities, but they have no idea how to use those abilities correctly. Even more in the face of the threat that the Earth suffers.
So, the experienced superhero Captain Zoom will have the help of the brilliant Marsha Holloway (Courteney Cox) in conducting the training of the new saviors of humanity. It will be necessary to put differences aside and work as a team to protect the planet.
Based on the book of the same name by Jason Lethcoe, the film combines action, adventure, comedy and science fiction. The feature film was directed by Peter Hewitt. In the cast, the production features stars of the seventh art like Tim Allen, Courteney Cox and Chevy Chase.
