Research reveals who is the public that most accesses the internet in Brazil

The ICT Household survey showed surprising data. According to the information, around 36 million people in Brazil did not access the internet in 2022. This means 19% of the Brazilian population over 10 years old. The index remained stable compared to 2021.

More than that, of the 149 million Brazilians who had access to the internet in the last year, 142 million accessed it every day or almost daily.

In addition to the data presented above, TIC Domicílios concluded that:

• Internet access in class D and E is 2 for every 3 individuals;
• In the rural area, 28% do not have access to the network, but in the urban area this percentage is 18%;
• The public that is most connected is that of people between 16 and 24 years old, corresponding to 94% of this public.
• Those over 60 are the least connected group, as only 43% use the network;
• The highest connection rates are in the Midwest, North and Southeast regions;
• Cell phones are used by 99% of people, television 55%, computers 38%, video games 10% and another 1%.
• 62% of people accessed exclusively via cell phone;
• 74% verify that the information received is true.
