They are everywhere, in the corners of the wall, in some old furniture, under the bed, in the garden…their threads form designs that enchant our eyes. Look carefully and you should find a web, they are made by spiders, everyone already knows. But why do they make webs?
The answer lies in the spider's belly. At the very tip of her abdomen, there is a pair of organs that produce silk threads, which form the web. So she loosens the thread and starts weaving, with the help of one of her eight legs, a tangle that can have many shapes.
The webs have many uses for spiders, hunting, protecting their eggs, or even making shelter. Spiders that make webs to hunt are the most observed. You must have seen an animal stuck in a web. It's just that it's covered with a sticky substance. This way, the insect flies by unsuspecting it can bump into one of them and get caught in its wires. If that happens, it's gone! It will certainly be devoured.
