But, what if we tell you that there are some delicious fruits that not only can, but should be consumed by diabetics at least once a week?

In the next topics we talk about this subject and point out these 5 fruits, which must be frozen and consumed by people with this endocrinological disorder on a weekly basis. Check out!

But, can diabetics really eat fruit?

Yes, people with diabetes can consume fruits without any problem, as long as they are consumed in moderation.

That's because most fruits have at least one type of sugar, fructose, in addition to varieties of carbohydrates, which turn into blood sugar.

However, some varieties of fruit, such as those presented below, have low levels of sugar and carbohydrates, while concentrating large amounts of dietary fiber.

Fibers are powerful allies for diabetics, as they help fight the accumulation of sugar in the bloodstream.

Therefore, by consuming the right fruits and in the right way, any diabetic will be, in fact, struggling to control this disease, which can become very serious.

But remember: Each organism and each disease acts in a way, so before starting a diet you should consult a specialist.

5 fruits that diabetics should consume frozen every week

Without further ado, check the list below for 5 fruits recommended for consumption by people with diabetes:

  • Strawberry: despite having a sugary taste, strawberry has a low sugar content, in addition to being rich in vitamin C and natural antioxidants, which also helps in the fight against diabetes;
  • Raspberry: raspberry is a fruit known for its high content of dietary fiber, being a great ally for those who want to keep diabetes under control;
  • Blueberry: in addition to having a series of vitamins and minerals in its composition, the blueberry is also a good natural source of fiber, which forms the perfect combo to combat the accumulation of blood sugar;
  • Cherry: it is estimated that every 14 g of cherry, 2 g is only soluble fiber, which is more than satisfactory for an anti-diabetes diet;
  • Avocado: rich in vitamin E, potassium and magnesium, the avocado is also an incredible source of good fats, which puts it on the front lines of fighting endocrine problems, such as diabetes.

How to include these fruits in the diet?

Diabetics can consume the fruits mentioned above in the following ways:

  • Making smoothies, smoothies and shakes;
  • Preparing fruit salads;
  • Including some or all fruit in sweet and sour salads;
  • Eating the fruits in natura individually.

It is worth mentioning that, as mentioned in the list, fruits can be consumed alone or all together, without any problem. However, moderation in consumption is necessary.

To generate a positive impact on the health of diabetics, these fruits need to be ingested at least once a week, as we repeat throughout the text. However, they can be consumed for up to 3 days throughout the week, ideally.

Finally, we must inform you that the recommendation to eat frozen fruits is based on the principle that, when they are frozen, these foods have their nutrients preserved for a longer time, thus maintaining their properties medicinal.
