Carlton Austin, director of retail and merchandising strategy, said the company used "insights" from Freestyle machines to innovate its launch portfolio.
And this launch promises to be a success! The exact date when the new Sprite will hit stores is still unknown. It does not stop there! There are already people asking for a sugar-free version of the new flavor.
While fans are excited about the news, Coca-Cola knows that many are still missing another drink that's gone: Diet Coke with Lime.
Since it was discontinued in 2018, it still lives at the forefront of many minds. Even a fan on Twitter posted that the drink was very good and deserved a triumphant return.
Another fan joked that all his problems started when Diet Coke with Lemon was discontinued. But don't be discouraged! There's still hope: some soda kiosks at fast-food restaurants still offer this treat.
And there's one more flavor that customers are missing: Fiesty Cherry, with an even bolder flavor than the classic Cherry Coke.
In a review posted to Walmart, one shopper said it wasn't too sweet, but had a tangy cherry flavor.
