Why make one?

The bilboquet, which can also be found as bilboquet, has a very ancient origin. Over the years and stories, you may find it with variations in terms of shape or material, but fun is still guaranteed.

Initially, he was seen in France, Japan, United States, Arctic, South America, North America and in Mexico, but no one knows for sure where the toy was invented or when it actually appeared. Despite this, some researchers point its origin to mid-1534 in France, since the name is a French word.

What we really know is that European art already represented it, indications that bilboquet was played by kings, nobles and commoners everywhere, from royal courts to the simplest villages on the continent.

One of the reasons for making a bilboquet is that it is quite old. This makes it more difficult to find the toy in conventional stores to buy. So what better than to make the toy with your own hands?

In addition, making a bilboquet allows the child to develop and stimulate their creativity, their capacity for perception and reflection. With the toy ready, the child develops important notions such as space and laterality, and motor skills.

Now that you know all this, how about getting your hands dirty? See how in the thread below!

Learn to make a bilboquet

Before you start making, make sure you have all the materials on hand. You will need:

  • A pet bottle;
  • A cord or string of wool;
  • Hot glue;
  • Two juice, soda or similar bottle caps;
  • Scissors;
  • Material to decorate the bilboquet, such as shredded colored paper, colored adhesive tape, glitter glue, felt-tip pens, etc.

With everything gathered, you're ready to jump into action. Follow the following steps:

  • Cut the top of the pet bottle with scissors to form a kind of cone;
  • Place the cord or wool string between the two caps;
  • Glue them with hot glue;
  • Tie the string or string to the end of the pet bottle (the cone you cut).

And ready! Children can now play with their friends and also teach them how to make a bilboquet.
