Analyst Dan Ives, from the consultancy WedBush, points out that millions of consumers have not changed their smartphone for several years, and the iPhone 15 can be the perfect reason to update their devices.
According to Ives, about 25% of Apple users haven't updated their phones in over four years, which represents approximately 250 million devices eligible for an update.
He believes that the launch of the iPhone 15 will trigger a huge wave of updates, and that this will have a significant impact on Apple's sales and market valuation. This could even push the company past the $4 trillion mark by 2025.
Despite high sales expectations, the price of the iPhone 15 is expected to be considerably higher than that of the previous model, the iPhone 14 Pro.
Analysts suggest prices could rise by between $100 and $200 in the United States, with Pro models being the hardest hit.
Estimated values range from US$ 799 to US$ 1,100, and can reach US$ 1,800 for the Pro Max version with 1 TB of storage capacity.

This rise in prices is attributed to rising production costs and the fact that the price of the iPhone has not been updated in the US in the last year, unlike in Europe and elsewhere markets.
However, even with the price increase, the launch of the iPhone 15 is expected to attract huge demand due to its technological upgrades and enhanced features.
The new cell phone is also expected to maintain the structure of four models, including an entry model, a Plus model and the Pro and Pro Max models with triple rear cameras.
The new generation should also feature the “Dynamic Island” on all models, providing a more discreet and functional notch on the screen.
Also, devices are expected to be heavier and thicker due to increased battery capacity.
Other planned improvements include the adoption of the USB-C port to comply with European Union requirements, an A17 chip built with 3-nanometer technology for greater energy efficiency and the introduction of a periscope lens on Pro models for up to an optical zoom 10 times.
With all these innovations, the iPhone 15 it promises to deliver an improved user experience, but it will also require a significant investment. However, for many Apple enthusiasts, the new device will certainly be worth the higher price tag.
