NAME:
“Flies and other memories” is a production by author and illustrator Eve Ferretti, in partnership with writer Fabíola Werlang. The texts and images gathered there present apparently eccentric and complex situations seen in a subtle way, as a child looks at. The relationship between the written narrative and the one illustrated here is established as a game: while the text tells a apparently normal situation in the character's life, the illustration reveals the eccentric face of the character character. Inspired by the productions of Edward Lear and Lewis Carroll, “Flies and Other Memories” is an intriguing book, as well as the children's gaze on the diverse realities they face. His narrative does not develop in an attempt to clarify and alleviate the 'strangeness' of the world, but communicates these eccentricities with the same unpretentiousness with which they put themselves for the protagonist in their experiences.
