NAME:

St. John's Balloon

It was a huge paper balloon! Mr. Luis was in the shop, decorating and assembling.

– At night, let's put the balloon down. Come all see the balloon go up! – warned Mr. Luis.

- Slowly, do not tear - said Mr. Luis and his son Pedrinho.

- Father! How does the balloon go up? – asked Pedrinho.

– See that opening at the bottom of the balloon? A burning stir is placed there and the air inside the balloon heats up, making it lighter than the cold air outside, and the balloon rises. – Answers Mr. Luis

When the balloon starts to inflate, the people who were there were excited, the balloon creaked, it wanted to get loose, to walk across the sky.

The balloon started to rise slowly, it will hit the pole! The wind blew kindly and blew away the balloon, which continued to rise, faster now.

– What is the balloon to see mom? – asked Nuno.

– From above, see the camp, the boys jumping the bonfires and the raids singing in the streets…
