Darius was hurrying, umbrella over his left arm, and as soon as he rounded the corner, he slowed to a stop, leaning against the wall of a house. He slid down her, on his back, sat down on the sidewalk, still damp from the rain, and rested his pipe on the floor.
Two or three passersby surrounded him, wondering if he wasn't feeling well. Darius opened his mouth, moved his lips, but there was no response. A fat gentleman in white suggested that he must have a seizure.
