The lion who couldn't write

The lion could not write.

But that didn't bother him, because he knew how to roar and show his teeth and the lion didn't need anything else. Only one day he found a lioness and began to depend on others to exchange love letters with her.

Then the lion realized that knowing how to roar was not enough, knowing how to read and write is very important, especially when people want to show their love for someone!

So, the lion decided to ask his forest friends for help.

First he sought out the monkey, who wrote a letter inviting the lioness to climb the tree and eat bananas, but none of this is fun for lions.

The second friend the lion found was the hippopotamus, who made a note calling the lioness to dive and gather seaweed. “Didn't say the king of the jungle. I would never write such a thing!" – it was time for the beetle, the giraffe, the crocodile and the vulture to try to help him. But they all wrote things that a lion would never do, like crawling through the mud and flying, for example.

As no one wrote what the lion wanted to say to the lioness, he was very angry! The king of the forest said that he wanted to say that she was very beautiful, that he would like to meet her to see the sky and the evening together, and other things he would write if he knew how to write. But guess who was behind him while the lion was talking? The lioness.
