Coffee has been, for over a thousand years, one of the most appreciated and consumed beverages in the world. Nothing like a nice cup of coffee when you wake up or after a meal. Sweetened, bitter, with milk… to everyone's taste! The coffee gives you mood in the morning, takes away that drowsiness that sometimes comes after lunch. In addition, surveys carried out in Brazil, the United States, Europe and Japan reveal that coffee can be very good for human health and that its daily consumption is moderate (3 to 4 cups/day) contributes to the prevention of various diseases, such as diabetes in adults, colon, liver and breast cancer, Parkinson's disease, among others.
Most people who drink coffee on a daily basis ignore which substances are present in coffee and think that the drink contains only or mainly caffeine. Big mistake! Coffee contains a wide variety of macro and micro nutrients, it is a natural, healthy drink and one of the most popular in the world, and so it is worth considering the contribution of their nutrients to our diet and our welfare.
