Caio and Vera were children and loved to grow roses in their gardens, which faced each other. The friendship between them was so strong that it would never end… However, in winter, while Caius admired the snow, a sliver of bewitched mirror entered his left eye. The boy started to have envy and evil in his eyes. Vera was startled by his coldness. One afternoon, the snow queen appeared in a white sleigh and took him away. Days and months passed, without news of Caio. Vera decided to go looking for her friend. The girl came to a large river. She offered him her red shoes, to find out if Caius had drowned. The river said no. Then Vera found a witch, old and evil, who locked her in a basement. A rose, however, was born in that place and told that Caio had not died. Happy, the girl fled from the witch's basement and arrived in a beautiful garden. She found a crow, who had seen the Snow Queen lead a boy to the North Pole. Going there, Vera freed a reindeer, which showed her the way to the inn of a very wise lady. The wise lady said:
