((o)) eco is honored to have among its collaborators Adriano Gambarini, one of the most recognized Brazilian nature photographers. And it is with pleasure that we announce your newest achievement: the book Stories of a wolf, written in partnership with biologist Rogério Cunha de Paula, whose work that has lasted 15 years with Maned Wolves from Serra da Canastra is recognized worldwide.
With a preface by naturalist George Schaller, icon of conservation, the book unites Gambarini's images with Rogério's scientific knowledge to demystify the Maned wolf, which they describe as a shy animal that feeds mainly on fruits and, therefore, plays an important role in dispersing seeds throughout the Thick. Threatened with extinction, the species needs to be more appreciated and understood.
Guará means red in Tupi. The work features 150 images of this red wolf, with thin and elegant legs, which occurs in South America, mainly in the Brazilian Cerrado.
