If you end up on the track, it became a matter of ecology
Dancing until 5 am can drain your energy. ________ can help light up the world – or at least a little bit of it. A nightclub has just opened in London where the electricity doesn't come from the socket: it comes from the excitement of the crowd.
All thanks to a piezoelectric dance floor, which manages to transform people's movement into electricity. As they dance, they press the floor with their feet. Then the floor, which is made with special ceramics, suffers a small deformation (imperceptible for those who are dancing). And that generates electrical energy to power the club's sound and light.
According to its creators, the high-tech track manages to generate up to 60% of all electricity consumed by the club, which is called Surya (“God-Sun”, in Sanskrit).
Surya's walls are heat sensitive and change color when the house is full and literally “boiling” – the idea is to make a reference to global warming.
In the bathroom, flushing and faucets use rainwater. And of course, all glass, metals, plastics and paper are recycled. Already the bar causes a certain strangeness. It only serves organic drinks, made without any type of pesticide or chemical.
