There are people who love to collect things. Coins, stickers, marine species… Oops! Marine species?! That's right. 60 years ago, a group of researchers from the Federal University of Pernambuco started a fish collection, sponges, molluscs and many other animals that are currently exhibited at the Professor Petrônio Alves Coelho Museum.
In all, the site houses more than 30,000 samples of marine organisms and, in addition to helping scientists learn about the region's biodiversity, it receives many curious visitors. If you want to see the collection up close, call your friends and schedule a visit!
