In general, people who are entitled to the benefit are those registered in the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS). Therefore, this right is mainly based on social and economic factors.
Among them, it is possible to include quality of life and income of the beneficiary. In addition, it is essential not to have an existing family bond.
In this way, the government intends to make these people's lives a little more comfortable, especially in a scenario of constant inflation. Also, because of this, it is possible to have more money circulating in the country, which can help to heat up the economy a little more.
Once the proposal is approved, all citizens between 18 and 59 years of age, who are entitled to the benefit, should receive the amount of one minimum wage.
This R$1,212 will be distributed monthly over a period of 6 months. In addition, if the person's situation does not improve after this period, he will have the right to renew the benefit.
If the beneficiary's situation is very serious, he may have access to other benefits, such as the BPC (Benefit of Continuous Provision), guaranteed by the National Institute of National Insurance.
As the project has not yet been approved, it is still not possible to make any kind of request. This is a process that may take a while, since after approval in the Chamber of Deputies, it must still pass through the Senate and then wait for the president's veto or approval.
In the end, it is a very complex resource, as it can reach different citizens, such as homeless people, the elderly, and even teenagers.
