The electric doorbell is a mystery. The person presses a button, which makes sounds and alerts that someone has arrived at the door. Behind such simple technology, there is a very interesting process! It is the application of electromagnets, devices formed by an iron core inserted in the coil. When you press the bell, the circuit closes and the electrical current is established. Charged, the electromagnet generates the magnetic field responsible for attracting and moving the clapper, which then collides with the gong – the sound instrument. Well… Knowing all this hassle, I imagine you'll think twice before giving “blin-blon” at other people's houses and running away!
