Read the text below:
Can the moon disappear?
Yea! This can happen if it is hit by a huge asteroid, for example. But today, there is no prediction that such a thing will happen, as most objects that pass close to the Moon are too small in size to achieve this destructive capability.
Some studies also say that, billions of years from now, our natural satellite may become a ring around the Earth. What is known is that the Moon is moving away from our planet: every year, it moves a few centimeters away. Billions of years from now, this could cause our planet to have very hot days and very cold nights. Then only bacteria would live around here.
