the big corn barbecue

All the residents are on the beach tonight.
– I love fresh corn on the grill! - everybody says.
Grandpa Dino picked up a huge basket full of Dino's corn cobs. He claps his hands to get everyone's attention.
- Welcome! It's great to see you all! Let's start. Help yourselves! - he says.
Villagers choose their corn cobs. Dino assists the twin zebras.

“We've never heard of this before,” Zag explains.
'Put back the long green leaves, but don't tear them off,' he says.
- Ready! – Zig says, and Zag agrees.
Grandpa made a huge hole for the fire in the sand. It's full of glowing coals. Each one puts his cob of corn on the coals. Fiss! Crack! Fiss! Makes the corn.
Horacio goes quietly behind the fire and pours some oil on the corn.
– HUUU-HUUU – he laughs – Wait and see! This is going to be a big surprise! – He quickly returns to his friends, hoping no one suspects him.
– All right, they're ready! - Grandpa announces.
Suddenly they hear a funny sound: Ploc! Ploc! The beans start jumping, one after the other. Popcorn flies everywhere.
- Surprise! – Horacio shouts, looking at all the admiring faces. Friends start laughing and soon everyone is enjoying the fresh popcorn.
