NAME:

the turtle and the leopard

The turtle, distracted as always, was returning to her house a little late, and she had to pass the steps because the night was beginning to cover the forest with her dark cloak.

Suddenly she fell into a trap, a deep hole covered with palm fronds, dug in the middle of the path by the village hunters to trap the animals.

The turtle, thanks to its thick shell, was not injured in the fall, but how to escape from there? She had to find a solution before dawn, or else she was going to be soup in the villagers' cauldron.

She was still lost in thought when a leopard also fell into the same trap. The tortoise jumped up and, pretending to have been annoyed in my refuge, bellowed at the leopard:

- What is it? What are you doing here? Are these ways to get into my house? Don't you know how to ask permission? - She shouted to the leopard.

– Can't you see where you're going? – Continued the turtle – Don't you know that I don't like to receive visitors at this time of night? Get out of here, you rude painted!

The leopard, snorting with rage at the turtle's impudence, grabbed it with all its might and threw it out of the hole.

The tortoise, happy as he was, went home calmly.
