Enabling community leaders to manage challenges through planning, communication and fundraising is the objective of Projeto Teia da Vida.
Creator of the Project, occupational therapist Ana Maria Norões, yesterday, at Teatro São José, met with leaders from eight communities in the capital involved in the Web of Life.
During the meeting, the communities presented their projects and results, shared experiences and knowledge. About 20 leaders (church, health, school, etc.) from each community participate in a course of seven months whose purpose is to strengthen and develop their potential in building development sustainable.
In addition to working on self-knowledge and interpersonal relationships, the course helps leaders to develop a project for the community, such as community gardens to generate food and income. With the project ready, leaders work on fundraising to keep it going.
