NAME:
The Matias teddy house was a tree on the edge of a lake. He had lived there for a long time, and had once belonged to a badger. It was a very cozy house, which, moreover, had three comfortable rooms underground, between the roots of the tree. So it was cool in summer and warm in winter.
One day, Matthias received visitors from Australia! It was Curtis, the koala he'd been corresponding with for many years. Curtis stayed in one of the underground rooms and found it all very interesting.
There were many things that were completely different from Australia. Every day, Matthias went for a walk with him to show him around. They took long walks through the woods and the house, but they talked to all the animals that lived there. The forest particularly appealed to Curtis, who enjoyed the pervasive scent of birch and fir. Once, they climbed a hill and paid a brief visit to the brown bear family. Then they went to visit, higher up, the marmots, with whom Curtis especially sympathized.
As the day of departure approached, Matias wanted to give him a special surprise. On the penultimate day of Curtis's stay, Matias dismantled his bed and mounted it among the branches of the tree. Curtis helped him and kept asking Matias what he was doing, but Matias kept it a secret and said nothing. At night, he placed two containers of honey on the tree and hung a lantern in the crown. Then he invited Curtis to come upstairs and lie down on the bed beside him. They covered themselves and waited.
After a short time, the first butterflies began to arrive. The light and the sweet smell of honey had attracted them. Matias and Curtis watched, still and silent, the wonderful butterflies.
It was a nice surprise. The koala had never seen so many butterflies and up close!
