It is believed that man started making pottery during the Neolithic period, around 6000 BC. C in the East and Europe. The oldest glazed pottery fragment was made in polychrome, bearing the name of King Mens of Egypt.
Other important manifestations in the history of ceramics were the Babylonians and the Assyrians who used ceramics with enameled tiles in blue, bluish gray and cream and also decorated reliefs (6th century BC C.), as well as the Persians with their manufacture of objects in clay baked in high gloss, and the colors obtained by mixing metallic oxides, a method still used today. Over time, ceramics evolved and gained our days, but not without the efforts of the Greeks, Romans, Chinese, English, Italians, French, Germans and North Americans.
