History of pottery

It is believed that man started making pottery during the Neolithic period, around 6000 BC. C in the East and Europe. The earliest __________ findings of Neolithic deposits in Anatolia, Palestine, Mesopotamia and Thessaly. It was a very rudimentary pottery, coarsely carved vases, handmade, without decorative elements, and dried in the sun.

Later, they evolved into more elaborate articles, with mouthpieces and handles, relief images, or with live paintings that possibly came to be considered decorative objects. Ceramic images of human or humanoid figures, possibly representing gods of that period, are also frequent. Some of the artisans also used clay to build rough houses.

In places like China and Egypt, pottery is about 5000 years old. With special emphasis on the tomb of Emperor Chi-Huand-di and his terracotta soldiers. In Egypt, the art of glazing is dated to around 3000 years a. Ç. Glazed earthenware necklaces appear among the relics of the 3rd millennium, along with figurines and amulets. The oldest glazed pottery fragment was made in polychrome, bearing the name of King Mens of Egypt.

Other important manifestations in the history of ceramics were the Babylonians and the Assyrians who used ceramics with enameled tiles in blue, bluish gray and cream and also decorated reliefs (6th century BC C.), as well as the Persians with their manufacture of objects in clay baked in high gloss, and the colors obtained by mixing metallic oxides, a method still used today. Over time, ceramics evolved and gained our days, but not without the efforts of the Greeks, Romans, Chinese, English, Italians, French, Germans and North Americans.
