Upon leaving the meeting, Haddad pointed out that, among the possibilities discussed, there is a chance that Lula could announce projects aimed at stimulating the production of popular cars.
Also according to the minister, this important news could be disclosed by the president as early as this Thursday (25).
“We presented the president with some possibilities for measures and now the decision is his”, said Fernando Haddad. “I believe that tomorrow, which is industry day, he (Lula) wants to announce it, but I don't know if there will be time to process (the measures)”, he concluded.
Despite talking about the news, the minister said he would not go into more detail, as this matter is the responsibility of vice president Geraldo Alckmin.
Also this Wednesday, Haddad met with Antônio Filosa, president of automaker Stellantis, the company responsible for producing vehicles under the Fiat and Chrysler brands.
