Elza Soares and Alaíde Costa recall the era of radio in a project in Belo Horizonte

The CCBB-BH, at Praça da Liberdade, hosts from Thursday (8) to Sunday the project “Caffeine Trio na Era do Rádio", which celebrates one of the most fertile and important periods of Brazilian music receiving great artists. The trio, formed by singers Sylvia Klein, Renata Vanucci and Carolina Rennó, seeks an approximation between the classical and popular genres, with new interpretations marked by a lot of style and swing.

The project is opened by Maria Alcina, who became known to the public in 1972, when she won the VII FIC performing “Fio Maravilha”, by Jorge Ben. This show, however, has exclusive entrance to Banco do Brasil clients. The other presentations are priced at R$10, on sale at the CCBB box office – Wednesday to Monday, from 9 am to 9 pm.

On Friday (9), the trio welcomes Arrigo Barnabé to walk together through Lupicínio Rodrigues' repertoire. The shows on Saturday and Sunday are attended by two singers who experienced the radio era, Elza Soares and Alaíde Costa, respectively. Over the four nights of performances, the public will be able to check out songs that are part of the Brazilian musical imagination, composed between the 30s and 60, such as “Tahí”, “Aurora”, “Tico-tico”, “Carinhoso”, “In the shoemaker's downtown”, “With what clothes”, “Quizas”, “South American way” and “Aquarela do Brasil”, among others.
