In March, the number of downloads of digital banking apps reached 24.7 million in Brazil, according to a survey carried out by Bank of America (BofA) based on data from Sensor Tower, which monitors information from Google Play and Apple store. The number represents an increase of 20.9% when compared to the month of February.
The factors that lead Brazilians to adhere so quickly to digital banks are the ease of opening of accounts, the practicality to carry out financial transactions and zero fees or well below the banks traditional.
Young people contribute a lot to such adherence due to their familiarity with technology. According to a survey by fintech Mambu, 54% of Brazilians between 18 and 35 years old use digital accounts.
