In the first quarter of this year, OLX revealed the most popular vintage music players among buyers, sellers and enthusiasts.

Retro style enthusiasts have been driven by fond memories, trends and the convenience found in antique objects. Since many of these items are no longer available in brick-and-mortar stores, they turn to online shopping to find them.

An example is the vinyl record player, which offers the additional advantage of being able to save money when buying a used one, with prices that can reach 56% of the value of a new one, as observed by OLX.

This purchase option provides interested parties with an affordable way to enjoy these nostalgic objects and relive the vintage musical experience.

The list includes a variety of iconic devices such as discmans, vinyl record players, vinyl cassette players, iPods and walkmans. Your smartphone can have all these functions together and, perhaps, you don't even remember these devices. They are only exist as they are marketed!

Surprisingly, the iPod took first place as the most desired in the ranking.

iPod sales skyrocket on OLX

According to Regina Botter, General Manager at OLX, even with the advancement of new technologies, music players vintage continue to attract a segment of the population due to the practicality and affective memories they carry.

She points out that acquiring these items through the platform is a viable option for those who want to save, since it is possible to find products with discounts of up to 70% in relation to the value original.

Platform data revealed that, in the first quarter of the year, five states in Brazil stood out as the most interested in purchasing vintage musical items.

Among the criteria for the highest number of sales, searches and advertisements, São Paulo occupied the first position, leading all rankings. In addition to São Paulo, other states that showed great interest in these items were Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, the Federal District and Paraná.
