As the name implies, the goal is simple: determine the weight of the animals in the illustration and what their weights add up in just a few seconds. 1st equation) Frog + sheep = 10 ↔ Sheep = 10 – frog
2nd equation) Frog + horse = 20 ↔ Horse = 20 – frog
3rd equation) Sheep + horse = 24
Substituting the 1st and 2nd equations in the 3rd equation, we have: (10 – frog) + (20 – frog) = 24, whose result will be frog = 3 kg.
Solving the other equations, we will have as a final result the weight of the horse equal to 17 kg, that of the frog equal to 3 kg and that of the sheep 7 kg. Therefore, the sum of the weight of the 3 animals is equal to 27 kg.
