To the surprise of fans, Globo confirmed the second season of Verdades Secretas. The series was successful in 2015 and raised a legion of orphaned fans after its completion. Six years after the end of the first season, Globo announces the continuation.

Initially called a soap opera, the series was supposed to end in its first and only season. However, experts believe that the popularity of erotic drama has revived the productions.
The new season will be available in October on Globoplay next Wednesday (20), that is, this month the public will be able to check out the new episodes.
A bit of what awaits viewers has already been revealed. The story begins with Arlete, or Angel, losing her husband Gui. Bankrupt, Camila Queiroz's character will have to deal with the past again.
The return will not be easy and promises new clashes with Kika (Agatha Moreira). The character now also investigates the supposed death of her father Alex (Rodrigo Lombardi).
Detective Cristiano (Rômulo Estrela) is hired for the investigation. He will get involved with Angel. Therefore, the promise is of an even more erotic new season.
The soap opera had 64 chapters and was shown from June 8 to September 25, 2015. The story is authored by playwright Walcyr Carrasco, co-authored by Maria Elisa Berredo and in collaboration with Bruno Lima Penido.
The direction was by Allan Fiterman, Mariana Richard and André Barros. André Felipe Binder, Natália Grimberg and Mauro Mendonça Filho, also director of the nucleus, were in general direction.
The cast featured Camila Queiroz, Rodrigo Lombardi, Drica Moraes, Marieta Severo and Reynaldo Gianecchini. In addition to them, there were Grazi Massafera, Agatha Moreira and Gabriel Leone.
A resounding success in 2015, the first season won the International Emmy in the category of best telenovela.
