If there is something wrong, changes are necessary to control a given situation. Thus, one of the most awaited changes is the new RG, with more security and less fraud. The general objective is to unify all identifications in a single number, the CPF.
The change seeks, in a way, to guarantee the convenience of the citizen throughout the national territory. After all, the old RG is the responsibility of each state, so each Brazilian citizen could have 27 different numbers. In this case, the new document seeks to bring everything together in just one identification.
With that, it has a modern and digital design, accompanying a QR Code to identify the authenticity of the document and allowing a faster verification even in places without internet connection.
At first, only people from the state of São Paulo will have access to the new RG. The issuance is quite simple, but you must comply with the following step by step:
The first step, in question, is to have a biometric registration in the electoral justice of your state, in this case, São Paulo. If you do not have it, the document can be requested from the National Civil Identification Database (BDICN).
Then, download the Poupatempo application, but to carry out the documentation you need to download and pre-register on the website.
It is worth remembering that the new document is mandatory for all people over the age of 60. If you are from São Paulo and are over 60 years old, try to get yours done as soon as possible.
