In addition to the payment of the Aid starting to be released from the 5th of August, for those who receive the Aid Brazil, the R$ 600 of the program should begin to be released from September 9th of this month, or in some weeks.
The proposed amendment to the Brazilian Constitution (PEC) that includes the new benefit announcements also increases the value of the gas voucher, estimated at R$120 every two months.
The text that discusses these and other measures was approved by the National Congress. President Jair Bolsonaro and Ciro Nogueira participated in the session on this occasion (PL). The creation of assistance for truck drivers and the payment of benefits to taxi drivers are mentioned in the text.
The official August calendar for Auxílio Brasil is scheduled to start on August 18th, however, the Government wants to readjust the benefit so that it reaches beneficiaries earlier, around 18 million families.
According to Nogueira, the biggest obstacle to paying the benefit to taxi drivers is the lack of information about the number of taxi drivers in Brazil, since this type of registration does not exist. In this sense, the government's objective is to gather information from the city halls of each municipality. This problem does not occur with truck drivers, since the ANTT [National Land Transport Agency] has a register for these professionals.
