A collection of nearly 230 extremely rare classic cars, estimated to be worth millions of euros, has been found in an abandoned church in the Netherlands and will be auctioned next month.
The collection belonged to businessman Ad Palmen, 82, from the city of Dordrecht, where the cars are. Palmen started collecting the cars 45 years ago.

Recently, the entrepreneur sold his collection to Gallery Aaldering, a car dealership, for an undisclosed amount. According to close sources, the sale was due to Mr. palm.
The auction, titled “The Palmen Barnfind Collection”, will be held in the Netherlands from May 19th as part of a collaboration between Gallery Aaldering and Classic Car Auctions.
Some of the auction highlights include a Lancia B24 Spider America, a white Mercedes 300 S Convertible and a blue Ferrari 365.
According to Carlo Te Lintelo, head of marketing at Gallery Aaldering, Palmen collected cars for the love of the vehicle itself rather than a specific brand.
According to him, the businessman bought any model he found beautiful and this resulted in a diverse and extremely unique collection. “Palmen didn't just collect expensive or exclusive cars, he bought everything he thought was beautiful,” said Te Lintelo.
Many mysteries surrounding the collection still hang in the air, as Ad Palmen is too sick to tell his story and explain how these cars held up for so many years.
Carlo Te Lintelo also said that the cars in Ad Palmen's collection are very special and unique.
To exemplify this, the Lancia B24 Spider America present in the collection must be sold for between 600 thousand and 700 thousand euros, approximately. The model is considered very rare, as only a few examples were produced.
Auction organizers are looking forward to seeing the interest the collection sparks among car collectors around the world. They claim this will be a unique opportunity for these people to expand their collections.
Gallery Aaldering, in the person of Carlo Te Lintelo, decided to name the collection after Palmen, as a way of honoring his legacy and passion for cars.
