The Global Bicycle Cities Index 2022 is the ranking list of the best places to ride a bike today, according to the European insurance company Luko. In total, 90 cities were listed by the insurance company, which took into account infrastructure investments, the number of accidents involving cyclists, data on bicycle theft, shared bikes, road quality and climate local.
All these questions were analyzed to point out the best experience to be had by these cyclists. Also known for the high number of bicycles running across the country, the best city for cyclists is the Dutch Utrecht. A curiosity is that the number of bikes in Holland exceeds the number of people who inhabit the country.
The cities of Munster and Antwerp round out the top 3.
And as far as Brazil is concerned, it is surprising that it makes the list, but the only city that appears is São Paulo and in 76th place. Which also makes it the second best place in South America for cyclists, behind only Santiago, Chile. The city is in 58th place in the ranking.
