The request was made by André Janones, federal deputy. The federal deputy's meeting with the former president took place this Thursday, August 4, to address the matter at hand. The proposal is that this happens from 2023 and that the value of the Brazil Aid is not changed, remaining at R$ 600. In this way, this group of women could receive up to BRL 1,200 a month, similar to how they were during the first phase of the pandemic with Emergency Aid.
Clearly, the request in question takes into account the possibility of Lula, former president of Brazil, being elected this year in the October elections. According to some information from those who are inside the involvement, Lula should talk to the deputy so that he gives up his pre-candidacy for the presidency.
If the deputy made the decision to give up the pre-candidacy, Lula would have to guarantee the deputy the future decisions of the Brazil Aid. In this sense, one of the changes that the former president intends to carry out is to return with the name of the project to Bolsa Família.
Starting next week, the minimum amount for the program in question will officially change and be raised. With this, the amount that beneficiaries will receive will be R$ 600, that is, they will have R$ 200 more than the current value. In addition, the number of beneficiaries is expected to increase by around 2 million people, making the project reach a number of approximately 20 million people from now on.
