Slowness in the issuance of CNH entails debts to the Detran

In conclusion, the 1st Special Court of the Public Treasury of the DF, understood that there was a “delay unjustified in making the plaintiff's driver's license available", and decreed that the defendant must pay compensation for moral damages. However, the Detran-DF appealed, claiming in its defense that the delay in issuing the CNH only occurred due to “systemic adjustments due to the digital transformation process”.

When analyzed by the magistrates, it was understood to be evident that the provision of services was very defective. And for them, the defendant “did not prove that the document would be available digitally in a timely manner”.

In short, it was decreed that the defendant, Detran-DF, indemnify the victim with R$ 2,500 for moral damages.
