DER discloses interdicted stretches on Rio-Santos due to rain

The heavy rains of the last few days caused landslides in some stretches of the Rio-Santos highway. DER updated the no-go areas.

This Monday, the 20th, the Department of Highways of the State of São Paulo (DER) released the new stretches of the Rio-Santos highway that are still banned. The locations are in the state of São Paulo and there is no record of interdiction of the highway in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

The DER issued the note for the route to be avoided by drivers. The closures were necessary due to the heavy rains of the last few days.

Interdicted stretches of the Rio-Santos highway

The DER informs that there are no options for traffic between Juquehy and São Sebastião. The Bertioga/São Sebastião section, at km 174+500, Praia Preta, is closed.

• Section km 136+00 – Praia do Guaica. Alternative route option: SP 099 Rodovia dos Tamoios;
• Stretch 142+000 – Toque-Toque, with no alternative route option;
• Km 157+300 – Maresias;
• Section Mogi das Cruzes/Bertioga – Km 082+100, Ponte do Rio Sertãozinho. Alternative Routes: Anchieta/Imigrantes System.

With the ban on these stretches, it is important to note the alternative routes if you need to move.
