These vehicles are already being tested and produced, and even have their own name, called eVTOLs. Even in 2021, it is possible that the first buyers will acquire their flying machines. Companies like yourself embraer work on prototypes in this segment.
In addition to cars, flying motorcycles are being tested. The first prototype went live recently, by the way. The test video is available on the profile of Instagram from startup Jetpack Aviation. The flying motorcycle “The Speeder” does not yet have the final design, but it has managed to stay in the air for a long time.
Unlike the flying cars under development, The Speeder does not run on electricity. At least for now, the bike runs on gasoline.
Its purpose is exclusively recreational, as is to be expected. After all, no one can go around invading the country's airspace. Like a jet ski on the water, The Speeder will be used just for fun. By the way, the final design proposal is very similar to a Jet Ski, but a little bigger.
According to the manufacturer, the project must still undergo a series of analyzes before being finalized. Despite the tests guaranteeing the safety of the new “grown-up toy”, the bike is quite powerful. Its top speed is capable of reaching 240 km/h. Such speed is often achieved by sport motorcycles in competition.
On the other hand, the vehicle will have a limit on the route it can travel. In all, The Speeder can only transport the pilot for 4,572. Its battery life is approximately 30 minutes.
Jetpack Aviation explained that the flying motorcycle can be configured in two different ways. The first consists of leisure and recreation activities. The second concerns professional use, such as in rescue situations.
