Pipa, name given to the paper “parrot” because it is similar to the pipa container (wooden vessel used to store wines). This type of kite was made with three sticks, and was used for many years. Three versions were created: two made with three rods and one with four. Over time, these kites became known as model kites. At the end of the forties, the kite-pião (…) came from the Northeast (…).
