The amount of BRL 1.6 billion was released by the Federal Justice Council (CJF) to make late payments from the National Social Security Institute (INSS). This amount will revert to payments to more than 107,000 beneficiaries of the institution who had their claims granted in court.
According to the CJF, 82,480 sickness benefit review processes, pensions, retirements and other benefits provided by the INSS will be included in this amount released.

Therefore, pensioners, retirees and other insured persons of the National Institute of Social Security who won lawsuits against the body and have arrears of up to R$ 72.7 thousand will be entitled. Federal Regional Courts (TRFs), which, in turn, will be responsible for coordinating the deposits following the established schedules. On these dates established by each TRF, beneficiaries will have the amounts due deposited in an account at Banco do Brasil or Caixa Econômica Federal.
